Disobedience and God’s Judgement

Genesis 2:16-17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof thou shalt surely die.

Texts: Jonah 3:6-10; Psalm103:1-5 My question is “What is God saying to leaders of this world, to the churches, and to individuals?” People have separated themselves from God’s laws and His will for mankind. God gave the Commandments, but evildoers have turned away to their own willful and evil ways. They have chosen to sell their souls to the devil and his demons and have become his slaves serving him and doing his will. God sees it all and will certainly judge mankind for their sins. It does not matter who, or how great a nation may consider themselves; God is still the Creator of this Earth, and He will judge as He sees fit. We have strayed away from the Commandments pertaining to social, moral, family and godly living. This is not only national, but worldwide. Seemingly, many are dancing to the same tune, listening to the same ungodly messages from ungodly leaders who have no fear of God. Their behaviour responds to the word from Job 21:15-16Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? And what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?”

Regardless of how powerful or rich a nation, family, region or territory maybe God is still in charge and will judge those who do wrong and violate His Commandments. One of the attributes of God is that He is forgiving; and if sinners repent, He is faithful and just to forgive (II Peter 3:9). However, judgement will surely visit the ungodly and those who ignore His warnings. It may seem as though man has all power and authority to do what they want, but this is only a mirage. There is no truth in this concept. God’s patience is long, but it will wear thin, and mankind will be judged for their sins. We have seen how immorality, godlessness, hatred, and all manner of evils have infested the nations. Normal family life is gradually decaying and becoming a tradition of the past; the lives of children are being re-structured in every way possible; and the people of God seem to be spiritually comatosed. God is seeing it all and judgement is surely coming. If you have heard His voice, harden not your heart. Instead, repent and bring those whom you lead to acknowledge God’s laws as the king of Nineveh did in the days of Jonah. If you are ready, God is!

Be sure that judgement is coming!
