The Christian Counselling

Certificate Program

The Christian counselling certificate program is a short introductory course for ministers to understand how to help someone in the times of crisis. This course is not an in-depth experience for students to identify themselves as counsellors. The program is also valuable to those persons who desire understanding about ministry, what this entails, and how to prepare to take on a spiritual activity: for example, teaching a Sunday school class, discussions, leading someone to Christ and so forth. The course will be of great value to those persons who want understanding of the Bible, and other important factors which make the Christian life an interesting experience.

Biblical Conflict Management

A certificate course in biblical conflict management will teach students how to use effective communication that will foster interest and help to resolve problems. Therefore, the aim of Shekinah is to prepare ministers and teach them how to resolve problems both in their interactions with others and among members. When there is a problem, knowledge concerning the ability to apply the word of God confidently and appropriately will be an active armour to prevent disputes from advancing into destructive conflicts. The minister who is equipped with biblical knowledge is in a favourable position to allay negative activities which would escalate a dispute. Students will learn how to communicate their concerns with the appropriate interpersonal skills for dealing with problems from a godly perspective.

Ordination Program

This program has been specifically designed to help ministers become certified in the ministry. The word teaches that we must be qualified in knowledge of the Word in order to help others. The program has also helped those who are ministers, but who do not have certification.

Consequently, the course applies to those who want to be acknowledged as true servants of God in response to 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Christian Education

Program Description

This course is not intended for students to identify themselves as qualified Christian educators. Rather, the program is st up for those persons who desire understanding about ministry, what this entails, and how to prepare to take on a spiritual activity: for example, teaching a Sunday school class, discussions, leading someone to Christ, and so forth. The course is also of great value to those persons who desire understanding of their Bible, and other important factors so that they can respond to questions about their beliefs without feeling inadequately prepared.

Young Adult Ministry Certificate

The Youth Ministry Certificate program is prepared for those ministers who are called to teach the youth with skills such as leadership techniques, dealing with conflict situations, dating and relationships and other important factors which are vital to their development.

Students must be at least 25 years of age with adequate reasons for selecting this program, and who are working with teens and young adults in the church setting. This program will be of immense value to those who are interested in promoting personal, spiritual, and practical growth for the youth. Moreover, teaching the youth can be extremely rewarding for those who are called to this type of ministry.
