PARENTAL DISCIPLINE

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Parents should always discipline their children and avoid being permissive which will result in low self-esteem and feelings of inferiority. Another very important point is that although the parents express a lot of love, if there are no boundaries for their children this leaves them in a very insecure position. Yet children who are consistently disciplined will develop the right attitude with compassion, control, and a sense of responsibility. Discipline does not have to be harsh. Always explain the reason so that the child understands that whatever the discipline is to make him or her better and to be successful in this life. Discipline is a form and expression of sincere love which helps to prepare children for the future and to face the world.
Children need guidance and direction, and parents should be ready to help them.
The parent who fails to teach, will reap a harvest of sorrow. Even a quick talk, no, wait, or whatever is suitable for the moment so long as the child knows the boundaries.
