Ephesians 4:17-20

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

But ye have not so learned Christ;

VANITY: emptiness, pride, purposeless, darkened understanding: warped, twisted, separation from God: utter sinfulness, ignorance, callous heart, insensitivity to sin: dead feelings because sin becomes a normal activity, uncaring, deceiver and being deceived, I am right: you are wrong, immorality, worldly dressing… This is the description of many church goers of the 21st Century Christian church. Many are professional church goers, because they only go through the motions on a Sunday morning; but it is business as usual. Vanity, and the deceitfulness of sin!

Many Christians today are immature, unlearned, careless and worldly because there are church leaders who are only after money, greed, fame, fortune, and filthy lucre; and they know how to squeeze it out of your pocket with the selling line “sow a seed” preface by their gifts. Those persons do not care about the souls of the people they are leading into the bosom of hell. They no longer teach about living a holy, sanctified and godly life. To teach these messages would cause their congregation to dwindle. Indeed, they have believed the LIE from the devil in Matthew 4:8-9; “Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” Baal worshippers will gladly accept riches from the devil through witchcraft. Those leaders do not care that he is a liar from the beginning (Genesis 3:4). Vanity, and the deceitfulness of sin!

God is watching, and He will rescue those who are being deceived by church leaders who refuse to teach His word. He will replace those ungodly worldly people with credible God-fearing ministers whom the world may not know; but who will teach the word of God to hungry hearts and save them from the fires of hell. “And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding” (Jeremiah 3:15).

Let me ask you a question, a few weeks ago, What decision did you make? How did you advise your congregation? Did you advise them to choose Baal or God? To have chosen Baal would only lead to the sacrifice of those who are unable to help themselves. Indeed, Satan will continue to have his fill of what gives life, but [you] pastor, self-appointed prophet, or apostle will end up answering to God for the souls [you sent to hell or death] because of your selfish, greedy, Godless acts. Vanity, and the deceitfulness of sin!

Unbelievable, but there are wicked leaders in the church. Here what God said in Jeremiah 5:26ff; “For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that sets snares; they set a trap, they catch men.” Did you know that some of those snares represent the lie you have been sowing over the years that tithing is for today’s Christians? You take the money and make yourselves [rich and famous] while the [giver: the widow] goes without. SAD! Vanity and the deceitfulness of sin!

LISTEN how Jesus describes your self-satisfied vain condition in Revelation 3:15-17: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” Vanity and the deceitfulness of sin!

You thought God was pleased with you, and therefore blessed your selfish and worldly ways. Hear what He says in Psalm 50:21: “These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.” You are so vain and self-satisfied, that you thought, God was like you! No way! God is going to judge you for failing the people whom He placed in your hands to lead. Baal worshipping leads to destruction and hell. Vanity, and the deceitfulness of sin!

REPENT! Read for yourselves: Jeremiah 3:14-14 and Revelation 3:18ff; from the King James Bible, which is the only version today that has maintained the original scriptures.

SAVE YOURSELVES! To believers who are being led astray, flee from those devil worshippers. Ask God to lead you to where His word is still being preached and people are taught to love and obey Him. There are pastors who are still doing the right thing: Keep on doing the will of God. Separate yourselves from the Baal worshippers and be like Elijah. If God be God, let us serve Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Not all of us are serving Baal and have become involved in his evil deeds of witchcraft and the taking of lives. Vanity, and the deceitfulness of sin!
