The Test of Your Faith. Will You Bow?

Daniel 3:14-18

14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Questions

My Christian brothers and sisters, did you bow to the enchantments of the enemy? There are many kinds of attractions being offered by satanic forces, are you being taken in by any of them? What do you believe? Are you fearful of what may happen? Are you fearful of people, your friends, family members if you stood for what is right? Where do you stand right now? Do you still have a testimony to say that you are a true believer in Christ? Is God pleased with the decision you made? Is your faith still holding despite the outcome of what you have seen?

The three Hebrew boys did not flinch even when the fire was heated seven times hotter. Their faith was such that even if God did not deliver them, they would not bow to the heathen king. To what have you bowed or are you bowing?

As I thought about these words this morning, we may have to go into the fire if needs be, but keep in mind that God will never leave nor forsake us. The men were thrown into the fire, but they were not burned because God controls the temperatures of life, whatever the test or trial may be. Stand up for righteousness, morality, and order!

Will the God whom you serve deliver you when you take a stand for Him? Do you believe He will stand with you and not forsake you? Will you bow to sin and immorality instead of standing up for truth and righteousness?

God is watching, and He is seeking for those whose faith is strong, and who will not bow to godlessness, hatred and deceit. Regardless of what happens, whether the outcome of your expectation may seem to be a failure, keep in mind that God has a plan for those who will trust Him and stand for Him even in the face of defeat.

Be strong in the Lord and hold on in faith. Know that you are not alone. God is with His children. Be sure that judgement will come before revival. The church needs to be purged and cleansed. Apostasy is wreaking havoc among the people of God and many are asleep – slumbering in the face of godlessness, immorality and all manner of abominations. God may seem slow in moving, but He will speak in His time. As it was in the day of Noah….so shall it be…. Let us be ready to stand for Jesus and righteousness and be counted!

You say you are a Christian, but which God are you serving? Do you really serve the true, holy, supreme and living God or the gods of Baal and Molech? Choose this day whom you will serve.
