James 1:19-20 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Everyone gets angry at times; it is how we behave in those moments.
Ecclesiastes 7:9: Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools.
Being angry is not wrong; it is what we do with our anger.
Proverbs 14:29: He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
Proverbs 12:16: A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covers shame. Proverbs 14:29: He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
When we look into the depth of the present situation, we need to stop, and wonder, and ask ourselves, “Why?” Surely, there will be all kinds of answers and reasons given to validate people’s behaviours.
However, what is the real truth behind all of this social and moral destruction? What really is behind it all? Who is behind it? Why are these things happening whereby one group views itself to be superior [it does not matter which one], and all others are inferior or second class citizens? Are we not all ONE human race?
Just in case some have not heard; there is but only one race of people dispersed in multiple ethnicities, colour and cultures; and coming from various regions, backgrounds, traditions, and societies with multiple likes and dislikes.
Our hue may differ; but we all have the same maladies and weaknesses as the other person. Why then is there so much hatred and disparities? Why have normal human beings experienced so much difficulties getting along with one another? What is wrong?
From a broad perspective, we could interject several answers: pride, hastiness, lack of self-respect which leads to disrespect for others and their properties, self-importance, lack of dignity, envy, jealousies and a host of other noxious lava. We have seen the demonstration of malevolence in all its displays.
Nonetheless, despite all those fall out the major cause is SIN. Mankind has forsaken the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and the Saviour of all mankind Jesus Christ. How many believe in and express forgiveness? How many say “I am sorry” with sincerity? There is too much falseness, disparities, insincerities, partialities, which lead to lack of trust in all areas: spiritually and otherwise.
Sin comes from the devil, and when he takes over we can expect the ravages and destruction which we see. Satan has to work in a body and when he does, do not expect to see rational behaviours. Satan’s aim is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).
Until people realize that we are one human race with the same needs, feelings, and physical bearings, there will always be problems. Until people begin to return to God and acknowledge that He is still in control, they will continue to fight among themselves with the use of all kinds of tools.
People who are fighting among themselves and others and blaming them for their troubles have missed the message which says: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12 There are satanic forces behind all that we are seeing in society and with the different groups. This is not just a political situation. It is spiritual and being fanned by foul demonic spirits whose aim is for the destruction of mankind: socially and spiritually.
We have to learn to forgive, overcome destructive agents such as hatred, prejudices, malice, and unforgiveness, with the desire for dialogue whereby we can discuss differences.
The Sound of Silence from the two most important groups!
Amazing how we find the politicians kissing babies and hugging certain people when they need a vote. In times like these where are they?
Then we have the tele-evangelists encouraging you to send your “seed offering” to them and God will bless you, but where are they now when they are needed the most?
Indeed, Christ is the only answer!
Regardless of which side you are on, make sure that like Joshua you will say and believe in your heart that you will serve the Lord: Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
You, have a choice to make; we, have a choice to make whether to continue along the same path which only leads to pain and suffering or turn to God Who is our Helper (Psalm 121).
