Tutus 2:11-14

For the grace of God that brings salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

What does God’s grace means to you? What do you understand by “grace,” God’s gift to those who will walk steadfastly and faithfully? There are people who are of the opinion that grace is there for anyone whether that person continues to live in sin, or not! Is this true? Grace is for anyone who will obey the doctrine of Jesus Christ and who does not use it as a means to continue in sin.

The question asked remains constant: “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?” (Romans 6:1-2).

Indeed, you cannot continue sinning because of the availability of grace. To have God’s functioning in your life, you must be faithful. There is a condition for grace to fully operate in the life of the believer. The word states:

If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister; (Colossians 1:23).

No one can continue sinning and still have hope of eternal life with the Lord. It will not happen. You must repent and turn away from sin and God will indeed impart His grace through the Holy Spirit to any life that is surrendered to Him. You must deny ungodliness and worldliness to obtain the grace which God gives to keep us saved and in His will. The word has not changed and will never change to satisfy the desires of those who are rebellious and ungodly.

It is time for repentance. Jesus is coming back again and we must be ready.

May we all use the rich and free grace of God appropriately so that it will be effective in our lives.
