What is Grace?
Sunday May 29, 2022 Text: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: (it is) the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Hebrews 10:29, “Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under-foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?”
The short answer to “What is grace” is that it is God’s unmerited favour. To leave with this answer would not be sufficient for this powerful and essential quality to the Christian life. The reason is that grace is of great significance to the true believer who wants to follow Christ.
