Hebrews 10: 5-6 Wherefore when he came into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

Hebrews 10:8-14 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He took away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stood daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

Jesus became the pure sinless sacrifice for sin to redeem us from the penalty attached to this destructive element against humanity. Of ourselves we could not find the right cure or substance to redeem us from our sins. Yet Jesus came and offered Himself once for all so that we might be delivered from the consequences and destructive nature of sin.

Although the individual who comes to Christ may have spent many years in sin, because of the sacrifice of Jesus’ body, that person can be cleansed and made whole without any questions being asked.

This is why Jesus died. This is why there is holy week. This is why there is the Communion Table, and why we should be willing participants in this ceremonial time of remembrance. Jesus died for you too!

How do you feel when this time of holy week comes to mind? Does it hold any significance to you, which makes you want to do something in return for Christ considering what He did for you on Calvary? What does holy week means to you? Think about it?

Take a moment and read Isaiah 53:1-10 from the KJV. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you things which you had not thought about before. Think about the rejection of someone who came to rescue you. Do you still reject Jesus Christ? Would you still reject Him after what you have read? Again, what does holy week means to you?

For those who are still living in sin, have you thought about your soul? What would you give for your soul? How much do you think your soul costs Jesus Christ when He died on Calvary?

Oh, we will never be able to comprehend the length, depth, breath, or height of what Jesus suffered on the Cross for us. Therefore, why not take up your cross today and follow Him in thanksgiving and saving your soul from eternal separation from Him. You have today, but can you be sure of tomorrow? Receive Jesus Christ today and ask Him to come into your heart.
